Kate Briscoe’s passion for early childhood education began long before landing at BASIS Independent Brooklyn, starting with her experience as a Counselor for 3s and 4s at Ridgefield Academy Summer Camp. Shortly after beginning her undergraduate studies at Colgate University, Kate received the Upstate Institute Summer Fellowship to work with the United Way researching the importance of early childhood education programs and their efficacy in preparing students for future learning. Kate graduated magna cum laude from Colgate with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Comparative Religion.
